I received flowers from Sydney Vaughn, a lovely young woman who has become a welcome addition to our small family. I put them in the window and tilted the mini blinds to see the dawn light hitting the buildings.

If only I had a paintbrush.

I could smell the fragrance and had many compliments on the bouquet from the nurses and doctors. They certainly cheered me each time I looked in that direction.
